Cat Accesory (VI) - Cat Trees & Scatching Post

It's important to provide your cat with a carpeted or sisal scratching post tto avoid damage to your furniture. A tall cat tree will give the cat plenty of opportunities to climb and exercise. Place the post in a place that is easily accessible to the cat. It could be places where they like to sleep or nap. 

To encourage them using the cat tree and cat post, you may sprinkle some cat nip so that cats will make their first move to this new toy. It's good to give your cat positive reinforcement (e.g: patting, praising or giving treats) when your cat uses the post.

No doubt that cat scratching pool is selling at very high price in Malaysia. You could either DIY one for your love cat, or you may also consider buying a different kind of scratching tool.

This is another choice that you could consider for your cats. Scratching pool is made of rope, it's more long lasting. This one is made of board/hard paper, although it won't last long as scratching pool, your cats will still have fun scratching on it. Most importantly it is able to help your cat remove pealed and dead nail.

The above, the board that is placed in the center could be replaced and they are easily found at pet store. The refill is about RM10-RM12 per piece (from Catit product).
