Carriers
For the safety of your cat, always travel with it in a carrier. Carrier come in several styles. The most economical is a simple cardboard carrier, often available from pet shop.
Hard plastic or fiberglass carriers last longer, provide more secure protection, easily cleaned, disinfected and easily fold away for convenient storage. They are warm and cozy and provide a feeling of security for your cat.
Wire carrier is easy to clean and it allows air circulation and good air ventilation, especially during hot day. However, wire carrier could be too opened and allows win blowing in and out easily, it may not be a good choice during cold day.
Soft-sided carrier are lighter to carry but offer little protection if thrown around in a car accident. Wicker carriers are aesthetically pleasing but difficult to clean.
Most carriers have a side door, some carriers open from the top. If a cat is difficult to get in or out of the carrier, it will be good to buy the top opening design carrier.
Carrier comes in different sizes. You must remember to choose a carrier that could fit your kitten comfortably, even when your kitty turns to be an adult later.
